After two months of postponing due to COVID-19, I FINALLY got to shoot Moira & Jason’s engagement session! It felt so good to spend a morning in the Mile Square City with them, hopping around to some stunning Hoboken locations, including the waterfront, the train terminal, and Court Street. There are so many incredible spots in this tiny town and I’m so jazzed about being back and photographing all of it with my couples!
I met Moira & Jason for the first time on March 12, 2020, just before the pandemic hit. They came to the studio for their Meet & Greet, where we hung out and got to know each other. We dreamed big dreams about their May engagement session and their August wedding day, which were both postponed to June 2020 and July 2021 respectively. We had no idea that the world was about to implode.
There are so many terrible things that have happened since COVID-19 has swept the globe. However, one powerful silver lining has stood out to me. I’m learning to appreciate the basics in life. I will never take for granted the simple act of coming together with my couples for an engagement session.
Moira & Jason are such a wonderful couple — they love to visit museums, go to the theatre, stay active, and find new adventures together…like exploring new cities and trying new restaurants. They met at a bar in DC nine years ago and had their first date later that same week. As they say, the rest is history. 🙂
Moira’s favorite things about Jason:
His loyalty, his generous heart, and his work ethic
Jason’s favorite things about Moira:
Her kindness, patience, and her smile
What Moira & Jason are most excited for on their wedding day:
Just FINALLY being married! Also, having all of our favorite people in one room and having the time of our lives.
There’s something nice about being out and about before the city is fully awake. I’m already looking forward to my next morning in the Mile Square City!
