Just six short weeks ago, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Laura and Matt’s Antique Loft Hoboken Wedding! 2021 is off to an incredible start. I absolutely adored spending the day photographing this Hoboken micro wedding. From getting ready photos at The W Hoboken, to a first look by the water, and ESPECIALLY when they brought their two sweet dogs – Wiggins and Addie – to join us for the bride and groom photos. It was a truly wonderful wedding day. To top it off, The Antique Loft at Riverview was an incredible Hoboken wedding venue. I’m already counting the days until I can go back!

The Best Wedding Photo Locations in Hoboken
From getting ready photos to couples portraits, we visited a few of the best wedding photo locations in Hoboken. For their getting ready photos (and detail shots!), Laura and Matt booked hotel rooms at the W Hoboken – a stunning hotel right on River Street. After the getting ready photos, we met on Pier C on the Hoboken waterfront for a sweet first look. Then, their sweet fur family – Wiggins and Addie – joined Laura and Matt for a walk on the Hoboken waterfront. These are some of my favorite photos! Laura’s ballroom gown looked AMAZING against the city backdrop. Plus, I love when couples include their pets in their photos (it’s kind of a theme on the blog!).

After the dog walk, we took some classic bride and groom couple photos in one of my favorite Hoboken photo locations – Court Street! As you’ll see in the photos, it’s one of the hidden gems of Hoboken. The location is simply stunning for wedding photos. Because it was a March wedding, we had a few backup locations in mind in case the weather didn’t cooperate. Fortunately, we didn’t have to use them! The photos turned out PERFECT.
Antique Loft Hoboken Wedding Ceremony
Laura and Matt’s wedding was romantic and intimate. With less than twenty guests in attendance, you could really feel the love in the air. They kept the decor simple. That is to say, they chose white candles, glass vases, silver Chiavari chairs, with two stunning pampas grass statement pieces at the end of the aisle. Therefore, if you are looking for the most incredible Hoboken wedding ceremony location, it’s impossible to beat the wrap around balcony at the Antique Loft.
Boho Loft Wedding Reception
One of the things I loved about the wedding was the mix of styles. For example, they had industrial loft elements (like the venue) and more whimsical boho touches (like the pampas grass!). Moreover, I truly believe your wedding day should be everything you want and more. With that in mind, you should never feel obligated to stick to one certain style. Your wedding should truly be a reflection of you and your love story.
The Antique Loft at Riverview is the perfect venue to make your own. When you book the Antique Loft, you have over 4,000 square feet of industrial event space with an unobstructed view of the NYC skyline (they boast views from the Empire State Building to the Freedom Tower) to work with. More than just beautiful, Laura and Matt’s wedding was a true reminder of how special micro weddings are. From the first dance to cake cutting, there was nothing but joy in the air!
A Winter Wedding in Hoboken
There you have it! Firstly, we had quite a few backup location plans for this winter wedding in Hoboken. With that said, I am thrilled to announce that the weather cooperated for the entire day. More than that, I absolutely loved how Laura and Matt made their winter wedding their own as well. They wanted their wedding to be a truly Hoboken experience for their guests. I think they love this city as much as I do and I loved that they included their love for Hoboken into their wedding day. They had a Mozzarella station during their reception and had the morning after brunch at Halifax. Laura put together gift bags filled with hand sanitizer, door pulls, and “Hoboken Firsts” like Oreo Cookies, Waffle Cookies, a pack of baseball cards, licorice gum, and Frank Sinatra memorabilia from the Hoboken Museum. It was the perfect way to share the love of your city with the people you love!
In short, you should absolutely personalize your wedding day! If you have fur babies of your own, let’s talk about how we can include them in your wedding day. Even if it’s only for a short period. If you want to incorporate Hoboken touches (or include pieces of your hometown), let’s do it! You can contact me here if you are looking for a wedding photographer. I have worked with couples across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and beyond. I would love to photograph your wedding day next!
PS: Love a Good Hoboken Proposal Story ?
I love a good proposal. Matt hired me to be the proposal photographer in December 2019. Since then, I have been counting down for the wedding. On their winter proposal day, the sky was clear and we got the most incredible New Jersey waterfront photos. Not unlike their wedding day! After he popped the question and Laura said yes, one their sweet puppies (Wiggins!) came out to celebrate with us and we got to snap some family photos in front of the water! It was pure magic on all accounts. If you or someone you know is planning to propose and looking for a proposal photographer, I have a few tips and tricks for getting the perfect proposal photos in this post here.
