Jeanine and Dillon got married on a Sunday last fall, and I have to say, it was absolutely stunning (but you’ll see it in the photos!). Before I give too much away, Jeanine and Dillon’s wedding was filled with fall florals, unique wedding details, and so much emotion. These two definitely love one another! I was so honored to be able to show up as their New Jersey wedding photographer and document it all. If you are considering a wedding at Crossed Keys Estate – or one of the other incredible wedding venues in New Jersey – keep reading! You won’t want to miss this one!
New Jersey Photographer and Videographer Packages
If you have been around for a while, you know how much I love working with Alan at Murphy Studio. This dreamy weekend wedding at Crossed Keys Estate was no exception! Alan and I both absolutely love Crossed Keys Estate as a New Jersey wedding venue and I loved how Jeanine and Dillon truly made the space their own. This is just the teaser so make sure to scroll to the end for their full highlight video! I’m already counting down the days until I get to make magic with Murphy Studio again!
NYC Skyline Engagement Photos
A magical proposal needs equally incredible engagement photos. Dillon took Jeanine to their favorite restaurant in downtown Brooklyn (Cecconis!) and then after dinner, they walked by the Brooklyn Bridge where there were rose petals in a heart shape. Dillon’s niece Madison was hiding behind the bushes and when she saw them, she ran out and gave him the ring box! So precious. For their engagement photos, we made sure to capture some waterfront photos with the gorgeous NYC skyline in the backdrop and headed to Court Street for some equally stunning urban vibes.
Candid Getting Ready Photos
Getting ready photos are always some of my favorite moments of the day – everyone is always so relaxed and I get to just sneak in and start taking pictures of the details and candid moments between my couples and their closest family and friends. I loved how both Jeanine and Dillon shared special moments with their parents as well. Jeanine had a first look with her father outside Crossed Keys Estate and Dillon’s mom brought their favorite book from his childhood.
First Look by the Hanging Tree at Crossed Keys Estate
Crossed Keys Estate has an abundance of gorgeous photo locations and the Hanging Tree was the absolute perfect place for Jeanine and Dillon to set up their first look. Their reaction when they saw one another was pure magic! From there, we wandered around the property (shout out to Jeanine’s incredible maid of honor who prevented her dress from getting dirty!) and took their wedding portraits. Having the “main” wedding photos out of the way made sure Jeanine and Dillon could remain completely present for the remainder of the day.
Wedding Photos with a Large Wedding Party
Have a large wedding party? Although it might be a little stressful to think about trying to line everyone up perfectly, trust me when I say, I’ve got your back. Jeanine and Dillon’s wedding party was extra-large (complete with three adorable children!), but everyone was just super excited to celebrate and made the photos so fun!
Catholic Wedding Ceremony at St. Mary Catholic Church
When I asked Dillon what he was most looking forward to, he said it was watching Jeanine walk down the aisle. When I asked Jeanine, she said she couldn’t wait to sign the papers and officially be married! Safe to say, the ceremony was an absolute highlight of the day. Their wedding ceremony was incredibly sweet and nobody could take their eyes off Jeanine and Dillon for even a second. After they lit the unity candle, exchanged their first kiss as husband and wife, and raised their arms in celebration, Jeanine and Dillon exited to a stream of cheers and bubbles!
Heading to Cocktail Hour!
Jeanine and Dillon wanted to enjoy their cocktail hour, which is the main reason we took so many of their photos before the ceremony! With that in mind, the sunset toward the end of cocktail hour and I did steal them away for just a few extra photos in that precious golden hour. Crossed Keys Estate has no shortage of incredible backdrops for photos and we even included their getaway car (a stunning white Rolls Royce!) in some of the photos.
Classic and Beautiful Wedding Reception Decor
I know I have mentioned how great Crossed Keys Estate wedding venue is a few times, but let me just add one more thing: I love how they take care of absolutely everything – including florals – for you. The result is always spectacular. Jeanine and Dillon chose to use a stunning palette of greenery, burnt orange, burgundy, and peach flowers to reflect the fall season. They also included a lot of fun touches to make the space their own from signature cocktail signs, a neon sign over their sweetheart table, and extra tall centerpieces for a bit of a wow factor!
A Fun Evening Wedding Reception at Crossed Keys Estate
As soon as the wedding party started dancing in, I could tell this was going to be a fun reception! Each walked in with something different – from chugging a beer, taking a shot, and even flags representing the bride and groom! Jeanine and Dillon kicked things off with their first dance (which featured a fog machine!) and the evening commenced with dances with their parents, heartfelt speeches (with lots of laughter and happy tears!), a delicious dinner, and a LOT of dancing throughout.
The evening finished off with cake cutting, a whiskey and cigar bar, and a sparkler exit. I knew Jeanine and Dillon wanted to remain present and soak up every moment during their wedding reception and I loved documenting it all come to life!
